“One of my litmus tests for the claims of the realized is ‘kindness’. Sounds rather banal I know but I have never been happy with the pearl in the mouth of a swine perspective. If the pearl has no impact on behaviour, if it does not transform its cruel, callous or merely uncaring custodian into a considerate human being it cannot, in my view, be the ‘pearl of great price’.”
