Oneness

Oneness is the direct experiencing of reality as it is — without an experiencer. You are the looking, not the objects being perceived. So any name, concept, emotion, sensation, body, self-image, personal identity, role, title, or historical fact that is perceived is an object in awareness. It is not who you are. This reveals that what is looking is not an object. You are not a separate person. The ’separate person’ is an object in awareness. You are no-thing — awarenesss itself.

But no-thing or no self is really only half the story. When it is seen that there is not an experiencer, or that the experiencer is an object in awareness, a more mature understanding reveals itself. This understanding is not conceptual or intellectual (concepts and the intellect are merely objects appearing in awareness).

It isn’t something that can be grasped by thinking about it because it is what you are. This understanding arises when it is seen that the nothingness that you are, the pure perceiving, is not separate from what it is perceiving, from the objects. The entire universe is the Self.

Don’t try to live from some conceptual idea of Oneness. A conceptual idea of Oneness is just another object in awareness. Through the direct experiencing of all that is arising in this moment including any image of a separate self, Oneness is revealed to be your true nature.
